These glimpses on how Apple products are actually made are so rare. What strikes me as odd is just how much of the actual work is hand-made as opposed to robot-centric. I guess that premium electronic products deserve a lot of attention for getting to be near perfect.

Similar to the situation in car factories: the premium brands (Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Aston Martin etc.) pride themselves on how much hand work has gone into their so-expensive products. The cheaper the car, the more automation has gone into it.
