I’ll say it: I’m bullish on Microsoft in 2012. This could be the year that it shakes its malaise and takes its place alongside Apple, Google, and Amazon as a dominant innovator of the mobile age. For the first time in forever, Microsoft has a couple major products that are not merely good enough. They’re just plain great.
Microsoft’s been long replaced on the “evil” list by Google, been somewhat neglected in the past couple of years but seems to be making a strong come-back lately. I still don’t trust Ballmer to lead them great, he’s more of a loud mouth bully than a true leader, but…their latest products are getting more and more traction. With WP7 having good to great reviews, I would like to see them overcome Android somewhere in the near to middle future. This OS looks like it’s the only one actually innovating instead of copying iOS. I don’t know, somehow I have a good feeling about it.
