Investment bank Morgan Stanley hinted on Friday that Apple’s next-generation iPhone will be slimmer when it arrives later this year and could include a quad-mode chip from Qualcomm that would allow for 3G and LTE functionality across all “network flavors.”

The rumors mill on iProducts never stops, I usually don’t even bother with these since they’re so many an most of the times so wrong. But I wanted to show you this piece of “insight” from Morgan Stanley, who think that the next iPhone 5 will be “slimmer” and may (or may not) have LTE functionality. It must be so hard to be an analyst at an investment bank. Seriously now, even a monkey could come up with such an “educated guess”. Duh, it will be slimmer!

If you do state something about Apple as a hint about a future product, at least try to be creative. Say that the next iPhone will have touch gestures on the backside or it will have a slide-out removable keyboard. Don’t say it will be slimmer, that’s just plain dumb. Everyone knows it will be slimmer.
