Yahoo Inc co-founder Jerry Yang has quit the Internet company he started in 1995, potentially appeasing shareholders who had blasted the Internet pioneer for impeding efforts to revive the struggling Web company.
As the co-founder is leaving the company (again?), you can’t help but wonder when will Yahoo find its purpose and focus on one objective. They’ve long lost their identity trying to do too many things at the same time. Is Yahoo an email provider? A search company? A news portal? Sad present for one of the pioneers of the web, fading ever slowly from the front line of tech companies.
