But as excited as I am about the update, which brings a slew of iOS features and apps (inluding Reminders, Notes, Notification Center, and iMessaging) to the Mac, I’m also a bit disappointed that Apple hasn’t yet announced any upcoming Mac support for another standout feature of its mobile platform—Siri.
There’s always gonna be something missing: no camera (first iPad), no retina display (iPad 2), no new form factor (iPhone 4S) and so on. The problem is everyone has such high expectations for every new Apple product that they’re bound to be disappointed when they don’t get everything they’ve wished for. The explanation is that Apple only delivers quality working features (even in Beta products like Siri), so if it’s not there…it probably shouldn’t be. It’s not its time yet.
