Tim Cook in yesterday’s Apple earnings call:

“I’ve always hated litigation, and I continue to hate it.” Cook said, in response to a question during Apple’s earnings conference call regarding reports that the company is considering settlements. “We just want people to invent their own stuff.”

Steve Jobs in 2010:

“I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple’s $40 billion [at the time] in the bank, to right this wrong. I’m going to destroy Android, because it’s a stolen product.”

It’s details like this that show indication of the company’s new path. Is it a better one? Who know! But it’s definitely a more mature, sensible one.
